Chickenfoot is the newest Supergroup to form in the U.S. and they are pure rock & roll. Their debut self-titled CD was released on June 5, 2009 and not a soul has a bad thing to say about them. The members of Chickenfoot really need no introductions, but just for clarification, they are: Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers on drums, Michael Anthony of Van Halen on Bass, legend and virtuoso Joe Satriani on guitar, and Sammy Hagar as front man/vocalist.Chickenfoot kicked off the CD on Conan O'Brien and went right into a European tour to be followed up in North America. Despite their ages, these guys are full of energy and their impromptu jam sessions which made this CD into reality is not to be missed by a true rock & roll fan.Some people claim Chickenfoot is just a Van Halen overhaul, and it is true they bring the same energy and excitement, but the individualism of Satriani make them so much more. This band has a chemistry that is rarely seen in music today and each track on the CD holds its own weight. There is no reason ever to skip a track during play. Skeptics love to be proven wrong, and if anyone is a skeptic now, after a listen they will be surprised.
